It’s Library Card Sign-Up Month!

September 9, 2024

Who should get a library card?

Everyone! Every person who lives or works or studies in our county is welcome to share in the library’s resources!

Why should I get a library card?

Our library offers a constantly growing collection of resources in various formats, including books, movies, board games, and other educational resources and entertainment options. Whether you prefer to visit one of our seven branches to borrow items, use a computer, or attend a program, or you’d rather access thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, comics, and virtual author talks from your own device, we have something to interest everyone.

How to sign up for a library card

In-Person
At any library branch, you can ask for a library card application at the front desk and within minutes you’ll be ready to start borrowing. Just be sure to bring photo ID and current evidence of Bucks County residence, business ownership, employment or school enrollment. Find out more about library cards here.
For a full list of accepted documents, click here.

Online
You can start the application process by applying online! Fill out the form here and create an account. You’ll be given a temporary card number that will allow you start placing physical items on hold. Come into any branch within 90 days and you’ll be able to get a permanent card, which gives you access to everything the library has to offer.

On the go
Our outreach vehicle may be stopping by somewhere near you! You can sign up for a library card at any of these events:
