Bring your lunch and read a good book in the sunshine this spring! The outdoor patio at Doylestown is open during library hours, weather permitting.
Bucks County Free Library (BCFL) is committed to enriching our community through access to resources, technology, and lifelong learning. This dedication was recently recognized as BCFL achieved the Bronze Star level in the PA Forward® Star Library program.
We envision a community where Pennsylvania citizens know how to use online resources and current technology to improve their education, to enhance their job skills, and to fully participate in a digital society.
This year, BCFL successfully attained the Bronze Star level of the PA Forward® Star Library program.
What is PA Forward?
PA Forward® is a statewide initiative of the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) that helps libraries provide essential programs and resources to strengthen communities. Through this program, libraries focus on five key literacies: Basic, Information, Civic and Social, Health, and Financial. These literacies empower Pennsylvanians to succeed in education, careers, and everyday life.
Why is this important?
By using the library—whether you’re checking out books, attending programs, or reading this blog—you’re part of a community that values knowledge and connection. The PA Forward® Star Program recognizes libraries that go above and beyond in providing services that help people learn, grow, and thrive.
How YOU can help
BCFL is made stronger by its patrons. Every time you visit, attend an event, or use our digital resources, you support the library’s mission. If you’d like to make an even greater impact, consider starting a monthly donation to help ensure free access to these valuable services for generations to come.
