What You Should Read This Summer

July 27, 2025

We hope you’ve been enjoying this year’s Summer Quest! Shelves are available in cloudLibrary for each of our six challenge categories to help you and your family earn exclusive badges. If you haven’t visited our cloudLibrary shelves, you can do so here.

Take a look at some of our favorites summer titles for adults! All of these titles are available in print and in e-format:

ADULT FICTION

Jac from Quakertown – The Puzzle Box by Danielle Trussoni. “The Puzzle Master returns to attempt to unlock ancient Japanese imperial secrets contained inside a deadly puzzle box. Fans of The DaVinci Code will enjoy this cerebral adventure.”

Nicole from Doylestown – Meet Me in the Margins by Melissa Ferguson. “Savannah Cade, an editor at a high brow publishing company, secretly pursues her dream of writing romance, only to risk exposure when her manuscript falls into the wrong hands. When an anonymous editor begins leaving critical notes on her hidden manuscript, Savannah must collaborate with them to meet a looming deadline, all while unknowingly falling for the very person challenging her the most.”

Alda from Doylestown – Deep End by Ali Hazelwood. “Super sweet and spicy sports romance.  Two athletes strike a deal to help them get through their trials to the Olympics.”

ADULT NONFICTION

Katie from Bensalem – Recognizing the Stranger: On Palestine and Narrative by Isabella Hamad. “This short read is perfect for fans of literary analysis and Isabella Hamad’s previous fiction. Just shy of 100 pages, it covers narrative structure, the power of storytelling, and how essential it is to use your voice.”

Anita from Bensalem – Realm of Ice and Sky: Triumph, Tragedy and History’s Greatest Arctic Rescue by Buddy Levy. “Discover the forgotten story of polar exploration by blimp.  I found it fascinating and could not put it down!”

Travis from Doylestown – The Baseball 100 by Joe Posnanski. “A great read for summer: toes in the sand, the Phillies on the radio, and this book in hand — these 800-plus pages of the 100 greatest baseball players of all time will keep you occupied through even the longest of beach days, and may even inspire debate over what players make the Top Ten.”

BONUS PICKS! Check out these titles by Bucks County authors:

A Novel Summer by Jamie Brenner

Ace, Marvel, Spy by Jenni L. Walsh
