The Bucks County Free Library is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to serve as Fiscal Officer for our 7 branches.
In this role you will manage all financial operations, oversee and administer all financial policies and procedures of the Bucks County Free Library. The ideal candidate will develop and manage the annual budget, prepare accurate financial statements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role involves approving and submitting payroll; coordinating benefits for all staff; monitoring expenditures; and coordinating the annual audit.
Other essential responsibilities in this role include, collecting and depositing funds; reconciling all bank statements; approving and verifying purchase orders and invoices; identifying vendors and negotiating purchases or contracts; and preparing and processing requisitions, purchase orders and/or contracts.
This is an FLSA exempt position.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
- At least five years’ experience working in a similar finance management role.
- Requires ongoing continuing education as mandated by Commonwealth Libraries.
- Applicant must provide on date of hire the following three required clearances: PA State Police Criminal Record Check; PA Child Abuse History Clearance; and FBI fingerprint-based background check.
- Must have current driver’s license, insurance, and own transportation or ability to travel among many library sites.
Schedule: Full-time schedule Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or weekends. Travel to assigned branches required. Attendance at monthly evening board meeting required.
Starting Salary: $80,100 – 90,500 DOQ
