The Bucks County Free Library is looking for an experienced professional to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for our seven branches. The CFO will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, such as financial reporting, purchase orders and contracts, investments, and insurance.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of current accounting practices, strong fiscal and project management, and communication skills. In this role you will develop annual operating, capital, and program budgets as well as coordinate the annual audit. Additionally, you will oversee all fundraising and development activities of the Bucks County Free Library and manage grants. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills with administrative staff, department managers, Library Friends groups and trustees.
This is an FSLA exempt position.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree. Degree required: Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- At least five years of experience working in a similar finance role required.
- Experience with QuickBooks required.
- Experience with Bloomerang or other donor management software preferred.
- Applicant must provide on date of hire the following three required clearances: PA State Police Criminal Record Check; PA Child Abuse History Clearance; and FBI fingerprint-based background check
- Must have current driver’s license, insurance, and own transportation or ability to travel among many library sites
Schedule: Full-time schedule Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings or weekends.
Starting Salary: $83,006 to $90,224 DOQ
