LAMP
LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians) is a free braille and accessible media service for people with low vision, blindness, certain reading disabilities, or a physical disability that prevents reading or holding a book. You can receive large print books, audiobooks, audio magazines, braille books, audio described DVDs, audio playback equipment, and more. All materials are mailed to your doorstep and sent back postage free. Learn more or apply on LAMP’s website.
Certificate of Eligibility
LAMP’s application requires a signature from a certifying authority such as a librarian. Bring your form to any branch of Bucks County Free Library to have one of our librarians sign your form. You may also contact us for help with the certificate of eligibility.
Books for Readers with Low Vision
If standard print has become difficult to read, you may benefit from Bucks County Free Library’s collection of large print books and audiobooks. If you have an online account, you can place holds for pickup at any public library in Bucks County, or you can call your local library to place holds.
Digital Items for Readers with Low Vision
E-books and digital magazines are a great resource for readers with low vision. You can adjust the font size and your device’s brightness or contrast to fit your needs. Digital audiobooks are also available. To download audiobooks or e-books, use the cloudLibrary or hoopla apps. Digital magazines are offered on Flipster and hoopla.

CCTV Magnifiers
All Bucks County Free Library branches have stand-mounted CCTV/video magnifiers that enlarge text and display it on a screen. In some branches, the magnifier is stored and can be brought out as requested.
