The Bensalem Branch of the Bucks County Free Library is a passport acceptance facility. Passport services are available by appointment during the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday: 10am-1pm and 3:30pm-7pm
Wednesday: 10am-1pm and 4pm-7pm
Thursday: 10am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-4pm
Appointments for new passports can only be booked online or in person at the library. No appointments will be accepted over the phone. Appointments are released 30 days in advance. If you do not see any available appointments, check back the next day for more appointment options.

Applicants must bring proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity; a passport photo; and two forms of payment for the fees. One check or money order is made out to the U.S. Department of State. The amount paid to the U.S. Department of State varies depending on the type of service requested. An execution fee of $35 per application is payable to the Bucks County Free Library, which can be made by cash, Visa or Mastercard.
Passport photo services are available at the time of your appointment at Bensalem library for a $15 fee. We do not offer stand-alone photo services.

Show Proof of U.S. Citizenship
Primary Evidence (One of the following):
- Previously issued, undamaged U.S. Passport
- Certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state, with parent(s)’ full name
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
- Naturalization Certificate
- Certificate of Citizenship
Submit Proof of Identity and a Copy of Proof of Identity on
8 ½” x 11” Paper
Primary Evidence (One of the following):
- Previously issued, undamaged U.S. passport
- Naturalization Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current Government ID (city, state or federal)
- Current Military ID (military and dependents)
Submit One Color Passport Photo, 2×2 inches in size
Passport photo services are available at the time of your appointment for a $15 fee. We do not offer stand-alone photo services.
- Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance
- Full face, front view with a plain white or off white background
- Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
- Taken in normal street attire; camouflage and uniforms are not permitted
Pay Passport Fees
- Application Fee: check or money order payable to Department of State
- Adult (age 16 and up): Passport book is $130 and passport card is $30
- Minor (age 15 and younger): Passport book is $100 and passport card is $15
- Expedited service fee is $60, in addition to the application fee
- Processing Fee

Applicants Under Age 16
- Applicants 15 and younger must have both parents/legal guardians present. If only one parent/guardian can appear, form DS-3053 must be submitted with application If only one parent/guardian legally responsible, must submit certified proof of sole custody.
- State issued birth certificate is required for all children.

Don’t have primary evidence? The following Secondary Evidence is acceptable with a copy of Birth Record or Letter of No Record:
- Baptismal certificate
- Hospital birth certificate
- Census record
- Early school record
