Suicide Prevention Training

spt-blogQuestion. Persuade. Refer. Three simple steps that could save a life. Join us for a two-hour suicide prevention training and learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide, learn to know how to offer hope, and learn to know how to get help and save a life.

Training is offered at the Quakertown Branch on Monday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m., Doylestown Branch on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m., and Perkasie Branch on Thursday, June 14 at 6 p.m.

QPR Gatekeepers are trained to understand and recognize a mental health crisis. They learn the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide. Using simple QPR steps, Gatekeepers will learn how to offer hope and help individuals to access appropriate supports. A Certificate of Completion will be provided at the end of the training.

This training is best for high school students and adults, is sponsored by Magellan Healthcare and is provided by Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force, Bucks County MH/DP.
