The Summer Meals Program was established by the USDA to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. When school is out, the program provides free meals to kids and teens in low-income areas.
Which libraries are participating?
The Bensalem and Levittown libraries.
When is lunch served?
June 24th through August 15th.
Monday through Thursday.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
Does this program really help feed kids?
Yes! Last year 1,895 children under the age of 18 were provided with free lunches at our two libraries.
